GRAPHIC HAVOC worked with founders of ELEMENTAL MAGAZINE a Brooklyn based hip-hop monthly printed publication to rebrand, art direct and redesign it when their circulation increased to 75,000 and they transitioned from saddle stitched to a perfect bound format. A new logo / masthead was created along with a system of integrating the history of the publication whereby each issues cover had a unique graffiti inspired ELEMENTAL piece created by well known artists. A custom font named Hellemental (sort of a bastardized version of Helvetica) was also developed to be used throughout each issue as the primary typeface. GRAPHIC HAVOC collaborated closely with the ELEMENTAL MAG crew as a labor of love for well over 13 issues and the look/feel created was carried over to further releases.
